Our goal is to place all of our rats into loving homes. We reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.
We do not sell our rats as feeders. Don’t even ask.
All rats must be adopted as pairs (unless you can show that you already have a same-sex rat at home). Rats are highly social creatures and do not do well as solitary pets.
The adoption fee is $ per rat.
All of our rats must have access to appropriate medical care when needed. Rats are fairly inexpensive pets to keep, but this does not mean that they are not valuable. All prospective adopters must have access to a good veterinarian with experience in caring for ratties (if you live in the area, we would be happy to recommend a good vet to you).
If at any time you are not able to continue caring for your rat, please return the rat to us rather than to a pet store or feeder lot.
All of our rats must be kept on safe litter – cedar and pine shavings are harmful to rats.
Please keep in contact and let us know our ratties are doing. We love getting updates, and it helps to keep track of any health or temperament problems that might arise.
Please e-mail or call with any problems or questions that arise. We are always happy to help out in any way we can.
